Camp Lacrosse Sports

College for many is the first time away from home. Many people don’t play sports for the school they chose to go to. Some play the large, popular sports like Football, Baseball, or Basketball. Very rarely on college campuses across America does one run into a special brand of athlete that has changed the micro-culture of college sports, that athlete is a college lacrosse player.

College lacrosse players only recently started to get large publicity, mostly bad. With the Duke University Lacrosse scandal in 2006 and most recently the murder of Yeardley Love, a University of Virginia Women’s Lacrosse player, in 2010 , men’s college lacrosse players have been portrayed in a negatively. These two isolated instances made the vast majority of the population of America to look down upon athletes of the oldest game in this country.
