On February 2, 2011, AI auditions took place in Austin, Texas. The auditions went fantastic except for a little freefall toward the end. Austin was full of great looking cowboys, an armadillo and some contestants that certainly got their freak on when they found they had not made it through.

On February 2, 2011 American Idol judges were blown away by a young couple's audition. Jacqueline Dunford and Nick Fink stood before the judges. They had met in college and it has been a lovefest ever since. They were a cute enough couple but could they sing? Jacqueline Dunford chose to go first and had a strong voice that Steven Tyler was quite mesmerized with. However it was Nick Fink, 19 years old with his soft crooner voice that really shone. The judges agreed that they were awesome and original and each one had a unique take on the songs they sang which was a big plus for them since the judges had heard the songs many times before. So Jacqueline Dunford and Nick Fink are off to Hollywood and time will only tell if this couple has what it takes to make it to the top spots on American Idol.
